Although strike action is planned across parts of the public sector on Wednesday 30th November, there should be no disruption to waste collections in the Cotswolds
Cotswold District Council’s waste contractor, SITA UK, has confirmed that it is expecting to carry out collections as usual on 30th provided it is safe to do so.
Whilst some members of staff at Cotswold District Council who are members of Unison may strike on that day, the Council has business continuity plans in place to maintain services. Staff with children who attend schools that may be affected by the strikes have been asked to try and arrange alternative childcare provision on 30th.
